About This Route
The Jharsuguda to Balasore bus is the overnight return leg of our flagship western Odisha service, the first premium AC sleeper on this corridor. It departs Jharsuguda at 9:15 PM on running days, on the evenings in between the outbound workings, and reaches Balasore at 6:45 AM. The outbound Balasore to Jharsuguda bus leaves at 7:40 PM. Both directions have run since 23 August 2026.
The coach runs two decks, with 33 pushback seats below and 15 sleeper berths above. Board at Jharsuguda or Sambalpur in the evening, sleep through the run past Deogarh and the Kalinga Nagar steel belt, and step off in Balasore before breakfast.

Boarding at Sambalpur at 10:40 PM suits anyone finishing a working day in the west and needing to be on the coast by morning.

The coach leaves Jharsuguda at 9:15 PM and calls at Kolabira, Parmanpur, Sindurpank and Sambalpur the same evening, then Deogarh, Pala Laharha, Duburi, Jajpur Road, Panikoili, Bhadrak and Soro through the night, reaching Balasore at 6:45 AM. Fares are charged by the distance you actually travel, so a Sambalpur to Balasore berth costs far less than the full 513 km run. Every boarding pair has its own page with exact timings and fares.
