Booking direct is still the best route, because then our own team handles your seat changes and refunds.

Choose your route and travel date on the Book Now page, pick your exact seats on the live seat map, and pay by UPI or card through the Cashfree payment gateway. Your seat is confirmed the moment full payment goes through, and your PNR and downloadable ticket appear right after payment.

Our network covers four corridors. Langaleswar to Balasore runs daily, Baliapal to Balasore runs multiple times a day, and Kalipada to Bhubaneswar runs overnight by the Divine AC coach on alternate days. The flagship Balasore to Jharsuguda AC Deluxe Sleeper runs nightly from its inauguration on 23 August 2026, and bookings are open now. The Berhampur service is currently paused and will be announced when it returns.

The bus leaves Balasore at 7:40 PM and reaches Jharsuguda at 8:52 AM, stopping at Soro, Bhadrak, Jajpur Road, Duburi, Pala Laharha, Deogarh, Sambalpur and Kolabira on the way. The return service leaves Jharsuguda at 6:10 PM. Fares are distance based, so you pay only for the segment you travel, and the booking page always shows the exact fare for your boarding and drop points.

Balasore has no daily train to Sambalpur, and the only daily train option towards Jharsuguda boards at 1:18 AM. Fares are distance based, so shorter segments cost less, starting at Rs 100 for the shortest hops, and the booking page shows the exact fare for your boarding and drop points. Three offers are running: code BUS50 halves the fare on inaugural journeys from 23 to 31 August 2026 for the first 20 bookings, code JHARSUGUDA takes Rs 100 off any booking of Rs 500 or more until 7 September 2026, and signing up by 30 September 2026 puts Rs 1,000 of travel credit in your wallet, spendable at Rs 100 per booking.

AC sleeper fares in Odisha are distance based, and ordinary AC sleepers typically charge between Rs 1.70 and Rs 2.20 per km. Our flagship Balasore to Jharsuguda Deluxe prices at Rs 1.85 per km for a pushback seat, with a Rs 0.10 per km premium for a sleeper berth, so the 513 km full run costs Rs 949 for a seat and Rs 1,000 for a berth. Short segments start at Rs 100, and the booking page always shows the exact fare for your boarding and drop points before you pay.

Oracle, our Non-AC Sleeper, is being refreshed in the workshop, while the Darubrahma, Chakranayana, Chakaakhi and Nandighosh VI seater buses serve our short-haul commuter routes.

Is the seat payment full or partial when I book?

Online bookings are confirmed only after full payment, so your seat is locked the moment you finish checkout. For agent and counter bookings, we are rolling out a minimum booking amount to prevent last-minute cancellations and ensure that every reserved seat is genuinely held for you.

Can I track my bus live?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every Nandighosh bus is GPS-enabled. Use the Track Bus link in the top bar, enter your PNR, and you will see your bus on a live map with an accurate ETA. Live tracking will also be available inside our upcoming mobile app.

Question 13

How much refund do I get if I cancel my bus ticket?

Accepted Answer

Cancel more than 12 hours before departure and you get a 100% refund. Between 6 and 12 hours you get 50%. Within 6 hours of departure, or if you do not board, there is no refund. Refunds go back to the original payment method; full details are on our Refund Policy page.

Does Nandighosh carry parcels or cargo?

Parcel service on the Balasore to Jharsuguda corridor is being set up and is not running yet. Rates are not published. Send us the details through the Cargo page and our team will quote you and tell you when the service starts.

Question 15

Do I earn anything when I travel with Nandighosh?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every confirmed trip earns you 10% of the fare you paid back as travel credits, and 1 credit is worth Rs 1. You can spend those credits on a future booking, where they cover up to 50% of the fare and you pay the rest normally. Sign in and your balance is on the customer dashboard.

How does the Nandighosh referral programme work?

Sign in and share the referral link from your customer dashboard. When your friend completes their first paid Nandighosh trip, both of you get Rs 100 in travel credits. Credits are earned only on confirmed, paid trips, they are not cash and cannot be withdrawn.

Do students or corporate employees get a discount on Nandighosh buses?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The Student Pass and the Corporate Pass each give a flat 10% off every booking, switched on by verifying a college email such as VSSUT or Sambalpur University, or a company email such as Vedanta, Tata Steel or MCL. Students also earn a free-trip voucher on every 6th completed trip. The best single percentage discount applies, either a pass discount or a promo code and never both, and travel credits come off on top of that.
