The role
You run the whole operation. Not one route or one function, but every coach we put on the road, every channel that sells a seat on it, and every rupee it takes to keep it moving. There is one person above you, the Managing Director, and nobody in between.
Nandighosh has run buses in Odisha since 1998. Today that means our Premium AC Deluxe Sleeper between Balasore and Jharsuguda, plus charters and tourist packages. We are now expanding into long-haul sleeper services from Odisha, and we need someone to help us do it.
What you will own
Fleet and maintenance
Preventive schedules for every coach. Permits, fitness, insurance and pollution certificates that never lapse.
Booking channels
Fares, service calendars, seat maps and boarding points correct and in sync across redBus, AbhiBus, MakeMyTrip, Paytm, our website and app.
Load and pricing
Fill the coach in both directions, and hold the fare through Durga Puja, Diwali and holiday peaks.
Ratings
High and visible on every platform, with complaints fixed at the cause.
Agents and counters
Build the travel agent and counter network, and keep commissions and settlements clean.
Cost
Fuel, tyres, spares, workshops and insurance, with a monthly budget per route and any overspend explained the same month.
Growth
New routes and coaches from survey to launch, and advice on who we hire next.
You probably have
- 5+ years in bus, travel or transport operations, ideally with route or profit responsibility
- Hands-on experience with bus OTAs like redBus and AbhiBus, and a booking system such as Bitla TicketSimply
- Working knowledge of fleet maintenance, RTO permits and compliance
- Comfort with the numbers: seats filled, cost per km, commission per booking
- Odia, plus Hindi or English
- Willingness to travel and stay reachable at night and on weekends, because that is when buses run
- Discretion with fares, agent terms and company figures
